The determination of hydraulic conductivities of upland and lowland soils in Gapan, Nueva Ecija [Philippines]
1984
Estarez, A.G. | Francisco, E.
Three upland and three lowland areas were selected in Gapan, Nueva Ecija [Philippines] as experimental sites. The hydraulic conductivities were determined in the field and soil samples above the groundwater table collected and the texture and hydraulic conductivity were determined in the laboratory. Hydraulic conductivities between upland and lowland soils showed no significant differences in soil texture. The average hydraulic conductivity values of upland and lowland soils by field test were 0.494 cm/hr for clay, 5.224 cm/hr for silty clay, and 7.972 cm/hr for loam. By laboratory method, the average hydraulic conductivity values were 0.336 cm/hr for clay, 0.886 cm/hr for silty clay and 1.078 cm/hr for loam
