Studies on the parasites infesting sand goby Oxyeleotris marmoratus (Bleeker) from some natural water resource at amphoe Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province

It was found that, out of a total number of 300 investigated fishes, 288 were infested with the parasites (96.0 percent). Sixteen species of ectoparasites and endoparasites were found. These were 3 species of ectoparasites: Henneguya sp., Dactylogyrus sp. and Lernaea arcuata, 13 species of endoparasites: Clinostomum philippinensis, Pelichnibothrium sp., Pallisentis nagpurensis, Camallanus yehi, Camallanus trichgasterae, Zeylanema pearsei, Zeylanema sp., Dacnitoides sp., Gnathostoma spinigerum, Proleptus anabantis, Spinitectus I, Spinitectus II, and Spinitectus III. The largest number of ectoparasite was Lernaea arcuata found to be 64.0 percent, while the least number of ectoparasite was Dactylogyrus sp. found to be 36.0 percent. The largest number of endoparasite was Zeylanema sp. found to be 40.67 percent, while the least number of endoparasites were Clinostomum philippinensis, Camallanus yehi, Camallanus trichogasterae, Zeylanema pearsei, and Spinitectus I found to be 0.3 percent
