[The presence of Scaphoideus titanus Ball. in the coastal vineyard region of Western Slovenia [Yugoslavia]]

The processes of two year's observation and determination proved the presence of Scaphoideus titanus in Yugoslavia. So far, its existence has been established almost in the entire vineyard region of western Slovenia (SFRY), however in small populations. According to the observations, the insect's biology is identical to those occuring in other south european regions in which it has occurred. The direct damage caused by Scaphoideus titanus is negligible. However, Scaphoideus titanus being the carrier of Flavescence doree, the vineyards are liable to develop the microplasmatic disease.
