This publication treats the following topics: wheat variety as a yield-increasing factor in the long-range period of wheat production in SAP Voivodina (SFRY), the grain yield of the wheat varieties and lines in the experiments in 1983/84, the yield of grain, flour and bread per hectare of wheat varieties present in the production of Voivodina in 1983/84, some important properties (origin, resistance to cold, lodging and diseases (Puccinia recondita tritici, P. graminis tritici, P. striiformis, Erysiphe graminis tritici), resistance to shattering, the mass of 1,000 grains, the hectolitre weight, proteins, baking qualities, productivity, sowing terms, seeding rate) of winter wheat varieties in Voivodina in 1984/85.
