فرنسي. isSheep and goat sera from arid or semi-arid areas were tested for BT and PI 3 antibodies. It appears that BT exists all over Africa even if the disease is not clinically evident. Although the climatic factors are not favourable to the vectors, the edaphic factors such as water holes or the altitude play an important role in the preva lence of the infection. Parainfluenza type 3 infection is also commonly distributed in tropical Africa.
