During the 1982-1984 period, investigations into suitability of growing 11 early and medium early potato sorts have been carried out in the region of Semberija (Yugoslavia). "Vokal" and "Ranka" sorts have been the most productive with the average yield ranging from 48.2 to 45.6 t/ha. High starch yields of 6,749 kg/ha and 6,371 kg/ha have been obtained with the "Ranka" and "Provita" sorts respectively. All the investigated sorts have shown sensibility to late blight of potato (Phytophthora infestans).
