Seeds of Canadian Wonder, a variety of food beans were exposed to 0, 5, 10, 15 or 20 kr of radiation at a dose of 2.2 kr/min. Substantial reduction, proportionate to dosage increase, was observed in seedling emergence, plant height, pod number and pod weight per plant, normal seed weight and total seed yield per plant, in both M, and M2 generations, the reductions being more pronounced in M1 generation. The critical dosage seemed to be 20 kr. Seed yield showed greater radiosensitivity than plant height. There was a positive and significant relationship between pod number and total seed yield per plant
