This study was carried out to find out the influence of low temperature treatment at booting stage on yield and nutrient uptake under application of soil ameliorant on rice plant. Ripening ratio and yield of rice plant were decreased by low temperature treatment at booting stage. Application of soil ameliorants (double applied phosphorus fert., silicate fert., compost, and integrated treatment) reduced low temperature injury compared with control. Specially integrated treatment than any other treatments showed higher amount of nutrient uptake, chlorophyll content in flag leaf, and photosynthetic activity etc. just after low temperature treatment at booting stage, and these related to reduction of low temperature injury. Application of increased level of soil ameliorators resulted in reduction of low temperature injury, except for application of increased level of compost with heavy nitrogen fertilizer. The higher SiO2/N and P2O5/N ratio in rice plant, the higher ripening ratio and yield was observed
