Isoelectirc focusing for analyzing the patterns of peroxidase and esterase isozyme was carried out to classify the varietal groups in 6-day-seedling of Brassica species, and to confirm the intercross between B. napus and B. campestris in leaves of bolting stage. The number and activity of peroxidase isozyme were the highest in the root fraction of Brassica species but those of esterase isozyme in the cotyledon fraction. The patterns of esterase isozyme were classified into 5 types in the cotyledon fraction of B. napus and 4 ones in the B. campestris, respectively. In particular, the only, "IT. No. "134546", introduced from USDA, among B. napus varieties analyzed was very near to the patterns of peroxidase and esterase isozyme in B. campestris. The confirmation of interspecific hybridization between B. napus and B. campestris was possible by analyzing the pattern of esterase isozyme
