The 4 nematicides Miral, Vydate, Furadan and Temik were effective in the control of nematodes and borers. In wet conditions Miral was more effective than the commonly used Carbofuran. Nematicide treatment less than twice a year was not recommended. Fluctuations in the populations of nematodes and borers were not affected by rainfall levels
