A study was conducted to evaluate the influence of cultivar, population density and row spacing on the yield of soybean after 2 rice crops. The experiment was carried out using split-split plot design with cultivars (G2261, UPL SY-2 and GC 302-90-11) as main plot, density (0.3 and 0.5 million plants/ha) as subplot and row spacing (50 and 25 cm) as subplot. The cultivars were grown in lowland with high tillage, inoculation, fertilization and full irrigation under furrow and bed system. Results indicated significant yield differences as affected by cultivars, density and row spacing. Yield of GC 30290-11-11 was significantly higher than UPL SY-2 and G2261. It also showed superiority over the 2 cultivars for plant height, number of pods/plant and 100-seed weight. Population density of 0.5 million plant/ha and closer row spacing of 25 cm increased yield significantly by 10.5% compared to 0.3 million plants/ha and 50 cm row spacing. A maximum yield of 4.1 tons/ha was obtained using GC 30290-11-11 with population density of 0.5 million plants/ha and 25 cm row spacing.
