The turnaround time between rice - following rice was shown to be influenced by a number of factors namely: socio-economic, climatic, agronomic, and differences in landscape position. A further delay in the establishment of the second rice crop following rice was quite risky because of higher yield losses. In the wetter zone area, computed daily yield losses were registered at 47 kg/ha. In a similar manner, yield losses recorded in the intermediate zone area ranged from 11 kg to 110 kg/ha.
