Effect of humus and peat admixture on the physical status of soil aggregates

An addition of humus to two loamy soils and one loess soil has been found to have an unexpectedly beneficial effect on the structural properties of the soils under treatment. The effect of peat was much like that of humus. Low rates of humus and peat application had a relatively strong effect which was sometimes different from that of heavy applications
