The sow shows different calcium and sodium contents during pregnancy. The elements are accumulated in large amounts in the placenta without alterations in their concentration in the foetus. During an early pregnancy, foetal organs accumulate calcium and sodium. At the end of gestation the content of minerals decreases in the liver
