On the grounds of laboratory tests performed it was found that the friction coefficient of the lubricating materials based on water solutions depended mainly on the soil density, infiltration of the lubricating material and the unite pressure of a slipper. On the other hand the friction coefficient of the lubricating materials based on oil depended mainly on soil humidity and on wetting angle of slipper surface through the lubricating substance. The use of lubricating materials lowers external friction coefficient of soil which would be unattainable by applying other methods
