Development of a section for production and treatment of pure cultures of mushroom spawn: technological and constructive solutions

The paper deals with solutions adapted in order to carry out a pilot project regarding creation of conditions for obtaining pure mycelium of home made cultures of edible mushrooms, and elimination of imported material. It involves the equipment for obtaining mother cultures, the primary mycelium of the mother culture, the pure culture of the primary mycelium, the experimental mycelium of the pure culture and the testing of the experimental mycelium for selecting strains of a high biological potential. At the same time, constructive solutions, functional and technological plants are decribed, as well as the investments necessary to ensure the conditions of differential climate for each technological phase. The station will have an annual production capacity of 100.000 test-tubes by 1990, but this capacity might be enlarged up to 150.000 in 2000. The value of the output to be reached by 1990 will be 4187 thousand lei, with an annual benefit of 620 thousand lei and with a duration of investment return of 16 and a half years
