Preliminary results on irrigation methods for peppers
1988
Buzescu, D.
Considering the importance of irrigation for the pepper crops, the author has tested four irrigation methods: on furrows, sprinkle, drip and mixed (sprinkle + furrows) irrigation, applied on two minimum levels of humidity: 60 % and 80 % of the active humidity interval. The use of a minimum level of humidity of 80 % is more favourable to the plants than a minimum level of 60 % of A.H.I. The irrigation methods have different influences on the yields obtained. The mixed irrigation and the classical irrigation on furrows give higher yields than drip or sprinkle irrigation. The highest yields have been obtained in the variants with mixed irrigation, irrespective of the level of humidity
