Research regarding superintensivization of apple growing under the Falticeni conditions (Romania)

An experiment was organized with 7 apple tree varieties and 2 mothers with a view to elaborate a solution of apple trees growing intensivization. The came to the conclusion that apple tree varieties directly engrafted on the MM-106 mother provided between the IV-th-IX-th years since planting obtained fruit yields of a higher quality than the varieties engrafted on the M-9/MM-106 intermediary in all planting spacings and crown shapes studied. Is recommended the use on MM-106 is recommeded which are going to be planted on 4/2.5 m and trimmed under the crown shape-the Haag palmette.
