The achieved results have shown the following: 1) in the conditions of Vojvodina, water deficiency in the soil and in maize plants at certain phenophases of development, presents an important factor for the loss of hybrids's resistance and the development of Fusarium stalk rot 2) intensity of the occurrence of Fusarium stalk rot varies from year to year depending on the weather conditions 3) there is a significant correlation between the water regime of soil, plants and development of maize stalk rot 4) in dry years a more pronounced water shortage in the soil and maize plants was found in plots which received the highest doses of fertilizers 5) growing of maize in monoculture intensified the Fusarium stalk rot only in dry years.
