Examination of gastro-intestinal helminths in wild ruminants in Slovenia [Yugoslavia]

In wild ruminants from hunting districts of Slovenia (Yugoslavia) there has been recorded 36 species of gastro-intestinal helminths. The most common are: Ostertagia circumcincta, Haemonchus contortus, Spiculopteragia spiculoptera and Trichuris ovis. The most pathogenic species is Haemonchus contortus. The majority of the recorded helminths' species can be easily transmitted from wild animals to sheep and goat and v.v., from sheep and goat to wild animals.
