1986
Rezulovic, H. (Poljoprivredni fakultet, Sarajevo (Yugoslavia))
The investigation dealt with the degree of contamination caused by conveying the red mud and ash into soil. The soil type was humofluvisol. The obtained data showed that pH of the soil increased. The increase was greater with the use of ash. The quantity of available potassium also increased. With the use of red mud the increase of potassium was 37mg and ash 34mg. At the same time the quantity of available phosphorus reduced. Quantities of filtered water ranged from 40 to 51%. Ash and the red mud caused alkalization of filtered water, the red mud increased the quantity of Na in percolate five times and the quantity of K only slightly. Ash caused an inconsiderable increase of both Na and K in lysimetric waters.
