Our experience with induction of lactation in dry cows and sterile heifers

On the basis of the results obtained, it can be concluded that milk production in cows treated with hormones for the induction of lactation is smaller (by about 770 l), probably as a result of slow production increase during the first days of lactation. Cows and heifers showed sexual activity and could be turned back to the reproduction sooner or later.
