During the three-year investigation, fertilization with N110P90K60 on cambisol, before sowing wheat significantly increased the number and weight of grains in the ear, the number of spikelets in the ear and the length of ear in comparison with the control. Foliar application of boron was efficient only in the first year due to aridity and cold in February and March and the effect was only upon the number of grains in the ear. Regarding other morphological indicators, NPK+B did not react as compared with NPK. Foliar application of 5 microelements applied together (B, Mo, Mn, Cu and Zn), i.e. NPK+Me compared with NPK had favourable effect upon the number of grains in the ear only in the first year. Application of microelements over leaf on cambisol was not economically justifiable.
