Comparative expressions of some mango varieties produced in Chittagong [Bangladesh]

Fruits of seven elite mango varieties relatively large in size, when grown at Regional Agricultural Research Station, Hathazari, Chittagong, in 1988, had mean weight of 298.9 gram while Fazli topped the list with 460.4 gram, others being placed in the order of Kohinoor, Piarfuli, Sabdaraj, Bhuto -Bombay, Sakarkand and Larua (221.0). Fazli (74.5%) and Kohinoor (73.5%) had the highest proportion of pulp and their skin and stone were the lightest, with Piarfuli and Sakarkand containing, proportionately, the heaviest skin and stone.
