Adoption status of mustard production technique in between t. aman and boro rice at Jamalpur FSR site [Farming Systems Research of Bangladesh]

Farmers motivation prgramme was taken through field day, farmers rally, short training programme etc. to ensure mustard cultivation by the farmers. Social acceptance rate and constrains of mustard production need to be identified for developing future research strategies was the objective of this study. About 32 percent respondent farmer followed the improve cropping pattern (t. aman-mustard-boro). Ninety five percent mustard growers view was that mustard did not delay Boro plantation although 50 percent mustard plots were harvested within 2nd week of January. Farmer harvested mustard grain 350 kg/ha by using only half and one third of recommended doses of urea and TSP fertilizers with balanced dose of murate of potash. Gross return was Tk. 4369/ha by investing only Tk. 770 cash. Lack of technical knowledge and improve seed was the prime problems to 39 percent respondent farmer.
