The anatomy of the kidneys of 16 Black Bengal Goats of different ages and sexes were studied using standard gross and microscopical techniques. The average length, width and thickness of the kidneys of Black Bengal goat were 4.47 cm; and 2.19 cm respectively. The kidneys, right and left, received their arterial blood supply from the right and left renal arteries respectively. Both the right and left renal arteries underwent divisions resulting in 3 and 4 branches respectively. The epithelium lining the different parts of nephron including the collecting tubules and papillary ducts were provided in the text and were discussed in the light of the finding on other domestic animals.
