Two field experiments were conducted to study the effect of plant density and weed control methods on yield production of cotton. Increasing plant density from 76363 to 152526 plant/ fad. decreased dry weight, seed cotton yield/ plant and number of open bolls/ plant, while seed cotton yield increased with 103.8 kg/ fad. i.e. 17%. Weeding cotton crop always resulted in higher number of open bolls/ plant, 100-seed weight, seed cotton yield/ plant and seed cotton yield/ fad. compared with the unweeded treatments.
