In clay soil wheat plants c.v. Giza 157 were soil fertilized with either 25 or 50 kg K2O/fad. and foliar sprayed with either distilled water or Fe or Zn or Mn or the commercial nutrient compound containing Fe, Zn and Mn (Fetrilon Sahari). Increasing level of K-fertilization from 25 to 50 kg K2O/ fad. tended to increase significantly photosynthetic pigments content (mg/dm2), improved yield of both grains and straw as well as protein content in grains. Foliar spraying with either Fe or Mn seemed to have the highest effect on increasing all photosynthetic pigments content and yield of grains and its protein content. The highest straw yield was obtained by foliar spraying with Fe or Mn or Fertrilon.
