Oil palm [Elaeis guineensis] slurry (O.P.S.) supplementation in diets for lactating Holstein-Friesian cows

The effect of oil palm slurry (O.P.S.) incorporation in concentrate diets, at 0%, 3.0% and 6.0% levels of Holstein-Friesian lactating cows is reported. No significant (P = 0.05) influence on milk yield and composition was observed. Forage intake decreased with increase in level of O.P.S. supplementation. Highest corrected feed efficiency for milk was given by cows on 6% O.P.S. supplementary diet
