Development results with the locomotive injector machine

Based on the experiences of the preliminary experiments with the locomotive injector machine imported from USA, a new machine was developed using various elements of the RABA-tractor (Diesel engine, DANA-SPICER shaft coupling and gear). The volume of the tank amounts to 13 000 liters set out with filling pump and drainage. The machine was put in working in November 1987 on the area of the Co-operative Farm "Alkotmany", Nagykanizsa. During the experiments, about 30 000 m3 of slimes were injected into the soil for corn production. Because of the droughty year 1988, the vegetation on the control plots parched, at the same time, on the experimental plots about 6.4 t/ha corn crop could be achieved. On the basis of these results it could be stated that the injector machines made in Hungary could be also favourably utilized.
