The effects of the climatic condition of the cultivating location on the yield and quality were studied in Angelica genuflexa Nutt. The stook plants (rhizomes) collected from 5 cultivating locations where cultivated at Chilgok gun and Ullung-gun fields where Climatic conditions are different. Total sunshine hours during the growth periods were 81 in the Chilgok field and 42 in the Ullung field. The stem number per plant was 67 in the Chilgok field, while 5 in the Ullung field. The number and weight of rhizome per plant were 30 and 1.38g in the Chilgok field, 7 and 12.48g in the Ullung field, respectively. The weights of fresh and dried root per plant were 8.3g and 2.8g in the Chilgok field, 17.9g and 4.0g in the Ullung field, respectively. The dried root yield per 10a was 112.4Kg in the Chilgok field, but 190Kg in the Ullung field. The contents of ash and diethel ether extract of root were 4.0 % and 3.84 % in the Chilgok field, 3.8 % and 3.67 % in the Ullung field, respectively. The climatic condition especially sunshine hours effectived to A. genuflexa. For the high yield and good quality root of A. gunuflexa it is recommended to decrease the total sunshine hours during the growth periods in the region of where sunshine hours is longer
