The experiment was conducted in 1985 second cropping on a brown clay loam soil to evaluate the yield response to different sources and rates of fertilizers applied to corn. Results indicated that corn yield did not differ significantly with the application of either complete fertilizer and ammonium phosphate. However, yield responses were apparent at varying number of bags applied per hectare. Urea (46-0-0) applied at two bags per hectare increases yield of corn to 41% over the unfertilized plots which was very similar to the application of urea at one bag and two bags per hectare of either ammophos (16-20-0) or complete fertilizer (14-14-14).
