Taxonomic and distributional notes on Philippine Salvinia molesta

The taxonomic confusion of Salvinia auriculata complex was clarified in relation to Salvinia molesta Mitchell collected from the Philippines. The morphological variations of S. molesta were reported and their taxonomic implications were discussed. A key to the separation of species of Salvinia from East Asia was also provided. Lastly, the Philippine and worldwide distribution by S. molesta were mapped.
