In 1981-82 the studies of phenols content in healthy and infected pea plant with regard to cultivars of different levels of susceptibility to Fusarium infection were carried out. In the two years of study the infection of pea plants by fusarium wilt pathogens caused intensive synthesis of phenols in plants. However clear relationship between phenols content in infected as well as in healthy plants of studied pea cultivars and their resistance to fusarium wilt disease has not been found. High variability of phenols content depending on cultivar genotype observed
