Investigation, carried out on the Polish and Bulgarian Merino sheep, showed that the occurrence of thread thinning resulted in thinning of wool, decrease of weight and output of pure fibres on the area unit as well as decrease of sulfur content in wool and increase of the number of atomic amide bonds in wool
