Study on The Nursing Cost Of Clarias macrocephalus fry to be fingerling size (from 1.5-3.0 cm. to 7-9 cm.) was conducted in 3 earthen ponds at Amphoe Nong Sua, Changwat Pathum Thani. Artificial feed (NIFI no.12) which contained 40 % protein was used. The stocking rate of pond A1, was 133 tails per m2 (size 2.5-3.0 cm.) or 60,000 fries in 450 m2 pond, pond A2 was 178 tails per m2 (size 1.5-2.0 cm.) or 80,000 fries in 450 m2 pond, pond A3 was 160 tails per m2 (size 1.0-1.5 cm.) or 80,000 fries in 500 m2 pond. After 20-23 days of rearing, fish were harvested partially and took 10 days for totally harvested. The result had shown that the survival rates of A1, A2 and A3 were 70.89 %, 24.73 % and 23.14 % respectively. The operation cost was 0.50, 0.69 and 1.04 baht per tail, so the calculation of net profit Clarias macrocephalus fingerling rearing was 0.50, 0.31 and - 0.04 baht for tail respectively, if the prize of fingerling was 1 baht each.
