Possibility of use of Apramycin (Apralin(R)) in pig-breeding

On the basis of a laboratory research on susceptibility, it was concluded that apramycin is exceptionally efficacious on most types of bacteria which cause diseases in pigs. Only 5.45% of the strains were resistant. Low minimum inhibitory concentrations were found in the pathogenic flora of the digestive tract, in the agent of rhinitis and in Escherichia coli and Campylobacter coli, because of which apramycin can be used for treating pneumonia, atrophic rhinitis, dysentery and colibacillosis in pigs.
