Continuous hydrolysis of corn stover by means of diluted sulphuric acid was studied using an isothermal flow pipe reactor which was fed with a twin remp-pump. The capacity of the reactor was one ton of corn stover dry matter per day. The obtained results indicate that there might be a possibility of a two-stage hydrolysis of corn stover that can be used for obtaining sugars, glucose and xylose without larger quantities of furfural.
