Investigation of some plum and apricot cultivars on Pixy rootstock

Three plum and three apricot varieties grafted on Pixy rootstock were investigated. Receiving with crown grafting in the dormant bud was good. High quality seedlings are obtained and in the first years incompatibility with grafted varieties did not appear. Planted trees had good and regular development and showed good vitality. Grafted plum varieties were less luxuriant than apricot varieties. Pixy is a new rootstock in Yugoslav conditions and is recommended for further investigations.
