This is a study of the effect of nitrogen and potassium doses on the elementary structure and dry matter of young plants belonging to two wheat varieties ( "Zitarka" and "Slavonija"). It has been established that the dry matter of the above-ground part possesses a variety trait which can be influenced by nitrogen and potassium mineral fertilizers. The concentration and content of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in the above-ground part and the root varied differently, depending on the variety and nutritive treatment.
