Productivity of some sugarbeet hybrids

Productive traits of the newly acknowledged national monogerm triploid sugarbeet hybrid NS Hy 11 and foreign hybrids PN mono 4 (Sinemo), KW maja and Nova Dima, have been tested. The highest root yield was obtained with the hybrid Nova Dima, then with KW maja and PN mono 4, and the lowest with NS Hy 11. The NS Hy 11 hybrid had a significantly greater root and head yield than the foreign hybrids due to its higher resistance to Cercospora. Sugar content was the highest in the NS Hy 11 hybrid, then in KW maja and PN mono 4, and it was the lowest in Nova Dima. The highest biological sugar yield was achieved by the Nova Dima hybrid, then the KW maja, PN mono 4 and NS Hy 11.
