The F(2) populations were evaluated in a seven-parent diallel set of wheat during 1986-87 winter. For plant height and effective tillers per plant most of the crosses showed higher mean values than the parents. For spikelets per spike, Ananda x Sonora-64 and Ananda x Ciano-79 showed higher number of spikelets per spike than other combinations. For yield per plant, Sonora-64 x Kanchan and Sonalika x Kheri showed higher yield than other crosses.
