Multi-effects triazole (MET) can stimulate tuber growth and increase tuber yield of potato firstly by promoting photosynthetic rate and then increasing chlorophyll content and secondly by increasing the accumulation of organic nutrients in tubers after changing the distribution of photosynthetic products in plant organs. Scanning microscope observation shows that the elongation of plant cells is suppressed by the application of MET, hence the plant elongation is also affected. The resistance to lodging is increased since cells are more tightly and closely arranged in more layers. The starch content in tubers is not significantly affected by the application of MET
