Evaluation was made of the data on body parameters and weights of pedigree pigs of the Prestice Black Pied breed - 22 boars and 52 sows, 15 barrows in the age of six months and 44 gilts in the age of six to seven months. The body frame is expressed by the index ITR - in boars 86,45, in three-year-old sows 80,17, in barrows 60,19 and in gilts of the same age 60,74. The same order of these categories is in withers height x = 91.00 cm (s = 3,410), 81,50 cm (2,524), 62,50 cm (2, 324), and 63,00 cm (2,398). Another significant characteristics of the body frame is the body length: x = 170,30 cm (s = 5,160), 160,30 cm (4,428), 115,27 cm (4,837) and 118,88 cm (3,100). The weight of the pigs under study was x = 286,90 kg (s = 33,200), 244,02 kg (26,472), 107,70 kg (14,770) and 104,00 kg (8,093). During the period since 1963 the changes in the body frame expressed in greater height by 5 to 7, greater body length by 8 to 12, greater rump width of boars and sows by 14 to 17, and greater rump width and greater live weight of gilts and barrows by 24 to 28. Nevertheless, the breed under study differs significantly from the White Thoroughbred breed by its lower height of boars and sows as well as by the height of barrows. Hence, it is conclusively smaller then the Landrace breed and smaller than the White Thoroughbred breed.
