Role of frame-saws in Hungary

The role of frame-saws will be determinant in connection with the roundwood to be processed by the sawmill industry, in the coming decades. About 2.5 million m3 roundwoods are processed annually. The introduction of up-to-date solutions may be the most efficient, especially in the case of frame-saws. A greater role should be assigned to the improvement of the quality of technical processing. The processing of small-sized logs should be developed and modernized. Temporarily, the sawmill industry should work with a smaller quantity of domestic saw-log, with logs of smaller diameter, and timber, the quality of which is not more favourable than at present.
