Reconstruction on domestic pig farms is a process that has already taken 15 years. All the foregoing pig farm reconstructions have considered that the first task is to improve and promote the efficiency of the animals' biologic transformation and the rate of metabolism. The reconstruction involves, besides the breeding work, the factors primarily influencing production: feed, microclimate supply with oxygen and water, hygienic conditions. The utilization of by-products and offals came also into importance at feeding: "production of feeds and feed components of adequate quality". The dark housing was dismissed, and the development of automatic ventilation expanded. The hygienic conditions improved. In sow-keeping the automatic feeding based on computerized individual animal identification was introduced. In fattening the one-phased housing without litter is dominant. Parallel with the development of the size of pig sties, the simultaneous filling-emptying became characteristic.
