[Response of sainfoin to salt and drought stress]

Response of sainfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia Scop.) to salt and drought stress during germination: salt and drought tolerance of eight sainfoin populations during germination and seedling stages were studied. Seeds of most populations were able to germinate up to -0.7 map under saline (CINA) conditions, while under drought (PGE-6000) germination was observed up to -1.1 map. Germination percentage, shoot and radicle length of seeding was higher under drought than with salt. Among the populations studied, the most tolerant and sensitive population to salinity and drought was Faridan
