1990
Jablonska-Ceglarek, R. (Agricultural and Teachers University, Siedlce (Poland))
In treatments of the straw fertilization, at the rates of 1.0 and 2.0 kg/sq.m of soil, tomato, pepper and cucumber yields were equal or significantly exceeded the yields of these vegetables at the fertilization with farmyard manure. In the treatment of supplementary nitrogen fertilization the pepper, eggplant and cucumber yields were higher as increasing nitrogen doses. Being the highest at the dose of 15 g N/kg of straw. The dry matter content in the fruit of vegetables fertilized with straw was significantly higher than in the fruits of vegetables fertilized with farmyard manure (control). In the treatment of straw fertilization the dry matter content increased along with increasing straw rates. Increased nitrogen doses resulted also in an increase of the dry matter content in fruits of the vegetables
