The investigations showed that a 10 years' period of irrigation with urban sewage did not negatively influence the health condition of older pine stands. Also the species composition and the number of secondary pests did not change. The number of dying trees and the intensity of formation of foxy tops was not influenced as much by the irrigation itself, as by its irregular distribution on the area. The disease symptoms were observed first of all in trees growing in places with excessive quantity of sewage. The favourable influence of irrigation with sewage was proved by the considerably more luxuriant growth of trees in places, where the quantity of sewage was corresponding with the calculated dose. No significiant differences in the species composition of pests and in the intensity of their occurrence was stated in trees in parcels irrigated with sewage, well-water or not irrigated ones
