The influence of surrounding on the shape of the lactation curve [cows]

The coefficient of Woods formula y = a tb e-ct were calculated for the data of 346 cows. The formula was used for calculation of milk production in 305 days, peak-yield day and peak yield for each of the cows. The influence of herd production, lactation, breed and season of freshening was studied. The coefficients a,b,c were calculated for different groups of cows. Because of the lack of data they were too nondependable.
